3 to 5pm BKK (GMT +7)
Collaboratively led by Asia Civil Society Partnership for Sustainable Development, the Asia Development Alliance, Action for Sustainable Development and the Global Call to Action Against Poverty, in partnership with Coalition for the UN We Need, the Asia Futures Forum (AFF) aims to bring people’s voices and concerns grounded in the lived realities of Asia into global discussions and build a coherent and informed vision for the future of the UN.
Building on the assessment of the implementation of the Pact for the Future and the ongoing UN80 process covered in the first session and the political economy and institutional perspective provided by Prof. Jomo Kwame Sundaram, former UN Assistant Secretary-General (2005-12) in the second, this third session will involve structured consultations on all chapters of the Pact and UN80 along with discussions on the future of multilateralism and the upcoming selection of the next UN Secretary-General.
