International Union of Police Associations Endorse John Ewing for Congress

The International Union of Police Associations (IUPA) announced today that it has endorsed John Ewing for Congress in Nebraska’s Second Congressional District. The IUPA represents more than 100,000 active duty rank and file law enforcement professionals across this nation, including the brave men and women of the Omaha Police Association.

“John Ewing’s experience as Douglas County Treasurer as well as his background in law enforcement makes John uniquely qualified to assume this important role,” said International President Samuel Cabral.  “He knows the fiscal realities Omaha’s communities are facing and also has lived and stood beside America's police officers. We are confident that Ewing possesses the leadership, integrity and sound fiscal judgment to be successful in Congress.”

We’re excited that the International Union of Police Associations has joined our campaign to fight for the working men and women of Nebraska!

John’s Travels across NE-02

Sarpy County--On August 18th, John spoke to the Kiwanis Club of Sarpy County during their lunch meeting.  John spoke to the group about why he’s running for Congress and his thoughts on creating jobs in Nebraska, as well as the work he has done as Douglas County Treasurer.

John & Sarpy County

Douglas County--John had the chance to speak to the Douglas County Democratic Party membership last week.  He spoke about his campaign and why he is running for Congress.  We’re excited by the response the campaign received and know that we will all work together to win in November 2012!

This week John spoke to the University of Nebraska, Omaha Campus Democrats.  He enjoyed spending the evening with them and talking about his campaign and the issues that are important to them. John was impressed with their questions and is looking forward to working with them.

With Labor Day coming up, John spoke to the leadership of the Omaha Federation of Labor about his campaign and the issues important to working men and women of Nebraska.  John is running for Congress because the working men and women of Nebraska need a Congressman that will fight for them and not the special interests in Washington DC!  As you can see, John is busy working his way around Douglas and Sarpy County talking to voters while running the Douglas County Treasurers’ office.
