AARP’s Executive Council will hold a Field Hearing on July 6 at Corrigan Senior Center in Omaha.  Corrigan is located at 3819 X.  The purpose of the field hearing is to hear from people who rely on Medicare and Social Security.  We want to get their stories out into the public discussion so that the benefits of Medicare and Social Security are part of the public dialog about Medicare and Social Security.  That side of the story just hasn’t received much play.  The hearing will begin at 12:30.  The room will hold about 250 people.  We are inviting media to cover the hearing and we have had pretty good media response to this type of event.  If you can let your network know about the field hearing, I would appreciate it.
