Hi there, if any of you are interested in building your grappling skills, please joins the Connecticut Yeet Association (the CYA) meet-up this Saturday at 1:30 pm in Milford, CT at Exiles New England's venue (details in the sign up) .

The CYA is an inter-club meet-up of regional HEMA groups to practice medieval wrestling, led by ENE, Laurel City Historical Fencing, and Thames River Historical Fencing.  This is our second session and we are covering some generic fundamentals of stand-up grappling and will take a look at a couple basic techniques as well. It's a good time to get in!

Thanks Jeff,

Direct answer: not yet aside from a mailing list. I think we'll have a FB page up before the next meet-up after this one. That said, about the only detail missing is that the goal is a monthly meet up and, in case it wasn't clear, the link below is a sign up sheet for this session with address, cost, and time.  I guess it's worth mentioning that as we'll rotate venues amongst the various clubs involved, attendees will be signing waivers for each over time.

We'll be sharing instructor duties and you can expect a variety of sources to be referenced over time, though for these first few sessions, we are working on very basic stand-up wrestling techniques appropriate for HEMA application though partially drawn in part from modern practice (e.g. various grips, arm drags, etc. but not blast double-legs or groundwork).

Oh, very important, the motto: "Yeet or Be Yeeten!" - Plato
