Greetings, friends,

I had intended to push this out through the email list for local people who are removed from social media, but I forgot until now.

Wiktenauer and HEMA Bookshelf are teaming up to produce a translation of the 1570 treatise of Joachim Meyer that we'll donate to back the community for free (CC BY-SA) use.

We're hiring a professional German technical translator for the job, Dr. Rebecca Garber, and are funding this project with sales of print copies of the translation (including a side-by-side version including a new transcription I authored) as well as a facsimile of the painted Leipzig Meyer. There's also a 'prestige edition' of the translation replicating the materials and construction of the facsimile.

The campaign ends at the end of the week.

Cheers,

Michael Chidester
