[Better late than never... let's see how many introductions we can get
in before Saturday's event.]

I'm Chris Bowen and I'm one of the people helping to organize NEUGLS.
I'm based here in Massachusetts and my role at Microsoft (Developer
Evangelist) is to work with professional developers here in the
northeast (New England & upstate NY), both to discuss and present on
technical topics/strategy and to work with the developer community,
including area user groups.

It's great to see that we'll again have a wide variety of groups
represented (over 70). I'm looking forward catching up with those of
you I've met before, and making new connections with others!

Best,
Chris

I've been with the BLU nearly since John founded the group back when

I'm Patrick Haney, organizer of Refresh Boston (http://
refreshboston.org). Unfortunately I can't be there today as my father
is in town visiting.

Refresh Boston is a monthly meetup of web folk that get together at
the NERD Center for discussion, a presentation, and more discussion
afterwards. We pull in around 50 attendees to each of our meetings
these days. Our next event is Thursday, August 26th at 6:30pm. Come
join us and say hello.

I'm Andrew Shearer, organizer of the Providence Web Developer Lunch Hour. I also organize the Providence PHP Meetup, which is currently on hiatus. I'm considering broadening it to other technologies or starting a separate RI-based group covering Python and Django.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to the summit today, since I just arrived back from a vacation in China this morning. Due to jet lag, my access to email for the rest of the day will be sporadic, and it's likely that so too will be my access to reality itself. Best wishes to everyone there.
