This is FINAL notification: network switch replacement for EB-3 has been scheduled for Tuesday March 21st from 10PM - 7AM. During this outage, contractors will be onsite to upgrade the network infrastructure. Network connectivity will be intermittent as connections are migrated to new equipment.

Please share with your RAs/TAs and/or relevant students who occupy EB3.

Just like in EB2, Comtech will be performing the same type of switch upgrades in EB3's network switch infrastructure tentatively March 21st from 7PM - 7AM  resulting in intermittent network outage during this time window. This maintenance will NOT affect wireless neither faculty offices that already upgraded to 1Gig through the CC-NIE funded-grant. It will affect wired connections only in offices, labs, conference rooms that are still in the legacy switch infrastructure.

Now here is the good news ... after this upgrade, our active network ports in EB3 will be 1Gig instead of 100M! If you have any concerns/questions with the proposed date and time please let me know no later than Feb 28th. Pay special attention to any evening events scheduled for that day, if any.
