I would like to take a moment to personally invite you to submit a paper to the Consortium for Computing in Small Colleges: Southeastern Conference this year.  Run in-cooperation with SIGCSE and ACM, CCSC:SE provides a forum for educators and researchers to share innovations and insights in computing education. The conference will be held on November 7-8, 2025, at Mercer University in Macon, GA.  For more information on the conference, including a printable copy of the Call for Papers, please consult the conference website.

The deadline for submission is June 20, 2025.  All submissions are peer-reviewed, and for the last several years, we have maintained an acceptance rate at or near 50%.  A paper in our journal is something that can make a solid contribution to a tenure or promotion dossier.  Papers are also published in the ACM Digital Library.

We want your participation!  This is a conference at which you should be presenting a paper if:

  • you have been experimenting with a unique approach to teaching your discipline, or have gained some class experience with a published approach,
  • you have developed new, interesting examples or case studies, or have written new lab activities,
  • you have preliminary or final results to report on a research project,
  • you have details of a “nifty assignment” to share,
  • and so on.

Please note that there are also several opportunities for you to involve your students, including the Student Research Contest and the Student Programming Contest. (Registration deadlines for these and other events are in the Call for Papers.)

If you have any questions that aren't answered in the Call for Papers, please contact me (kew...@fsu.edu).

Please consider submitting a paper, and please forward this message along to any colleagues who might be interested. Let's make the 39th year of our conference the best ever!  I'll look forward to seeing you in Macon in November.

Best,

Karen Works
