Hello,
With connectathon week rapidly approaching, I wanted to send out a few notes about expectations during connectathon. It will be critical to your success to follow these guidelines.
First and foremost, Slack will be the only official way to communicate for testing purposes. You can certainly work through things using whatever communication platform you want, but when it comes time to evaluate tests, this must be done through Slack.
Next, Slack tool and domain channels are being monitored by the relevant expert for those areas. You will need to ask questions or bring concerns to those channels. You can browse the channel list to see what is available. For example, a question about the Gazelle Proxy should be posted in the #tool-gazelle-proxy channel or a DEV domain question should be posted in the #domain-dev channel. If you can't find an appropriate channel for your question then you can bring the question to the #connectathon-manager channel.
Questions posted in your own system channel, will not be addressed by support staff.
Third, given we aren't together in a common local area, we will be setting Consistent Time based on the Eastern Standard Time Zone. Please make sure your system clocks are set to the EST time zone. This will also be the time zone for all connectathon hours.
Fourth, make sure someone is monitoring your system channel. This is where vendors will come to initiate tests and communicate, as well as monitors who are seeking to join your private test instance channels for evaluation.
Finally, moving forward all future announcements will be made on the #connectathon-announcements channel. Please monitor this channel for all announcements. You have automatically been added to this channel.
I want to thank everyone ahead of time for the hiccups that will occur during the week. We are going to work quickly to resolve issues and rest assured we will find a solution. It may be a creative one, but we will be successful and are excited to offer this opportunity.
Thank you,
Dr. Phil
