Marking 100 Weekly Conversations on Movements of India: Jan'21 to Dec'22
Greetings. Hope you are keeping well.
We are writing to earnestly invite you join us this Sunday evening at 6 pm (18th Dec) for a Special Session of the Grounded Voices Series, as we mark its 100th edition.
We would be glad if you could join the live session and share your reflections on the series, in the broad context of how to further strengthen solidarity for people's struggles across the country and deepen democracy.
Those of you who would like to send in brief text messages, please do e-mail them to napms...@gmail.com and we shall try to read them out during the session.
Many of you who have been following the series, would be aware that as part of Grounded Voices / ज़मीनी आवाज़ें, NAPM has been trying to organize weekly virtual sessions on a broad range of grassroots movements, initiatives and issues of contemporary public importance.
Between Jan, 2021 and Dec, 2022, the 100 sessions covered a diverse spectrum of movements around socio-ecological and economic justice, constitutional, democratic and human rights, institutional accountability, alternatives etc, bringing together voices of a wide array of people from the ground as well as those working with struggling peoples.
What started as a humble effort in the second year of the pandemic, caught momentum soon, given the sheer number of issues that needed attention, struggles that needed solidarity and matters that require amplification in times of grave threat to our democracy itself.
The series would not have been possible without the active involvement and constant support of numerous people and different organisations, who participated at different stages of the series, including curation, moderation, engagement, tech, documentation. Many thanks and salaams to all.
All previous Grounded Voices Conversations can be accessed at the link below as well as on our Facebook page. Please do watch and share them in your networks. Feel free to use any of the content in public interest, with an acknowledgement to NAPM.

Finally, we also are constantly looking out for volunteers including those would would be willing to curate sessions on diverse themes in the coming year, those who can creatively text & video document the rich content available and those who can amplify the Grounded Voices. हमें खुशी होगी अगर आप इस लाइव सत्र में शामिल हो सकें और देश भर में लोगों के संघर्षों के लिए एकजुटता को और मजबूत करने और लोकतंत्र को गहरा करने के व्यापक संदर्भ में, श्रृंखला पर अपने विचार साझा कर सकें।

आप में से बहुत से लोग जो इस श्रृंखला का अनुसरण करते रहे हैं, जानते हैं कि ग्राउंडेड वॉइसेज़ / जमीनी आवाज़ें के रूप में, एन.ए.पी.एम ज़मीनी स्तर के आंदोलनों, पहलों और समकालीन सार्वजनिक महत्व के मुद्दों पर साप्ताहिक लाइव सत्र आयोजित करने का प्रयास कर रहा है।
जनवरी 2021 और दिसंबर 2022 के बीच, 100 सत्रों में सामाजिक, पारिस्थितिकीय और आर्थिक न्याय, संवैधानिक, लोकतांत्रिक और मानवाधिकारों, संस्थागत जवाबदेही, विकल्पों आदि से जुड़े आंदोलनों को रेखांकित किया गया, जिसमें देश के तमाम ज़मीनी तौर पर संघर्षरत लोगों की विभिन्न आवाज़ें एक साथ आईं।
महामारी के दूसरे वर्ष में एक विनम्र प्रयास के रूप में यह सिलसिला शुरू हुआ, और इसने जल्द ही गति पकड़ ली, क्योंकि ऐसे मुद्दों की संख्या बहुत थी जिन पर ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता थी, जिन संघर्षों को एकजुटता की आवश्यकता थी और ऐसे मसले जिन्हें हमारे लोकतंत्र के लिए गंभीर खतरे के समय में, मुखरता प्रदान करने की आवश्यकता थी।
यह श्रृंखला बहुत से लोगों और संगठनों की सक्रिय भागीदारी और निरंतर समर्थन के बिना संभव नहीं होती, जिन्होंने श्रृंखला के विभिन्न चरणों में भाग लिया, जिसमें सत्रों की संरचना, संचालन जानकारी साझा करना, टेक्नोलॉजी, दस्तावेज़ीकरण आदि शामिल हैं। सभी को बहुत धन्यवाद और सलाम।
पिछले सभी ज़मीनी आवाज़ें के वार्तालाप नीचे दिए गए लिंक के साथ-साथ हमारे फेसबुक पेज पर भी देखे जा सकते है। कृपया इन्हें देखें और अपने नेटवर्क में साझा करें। एन.ए.पी.एम के नाम के साथ सार्वजनिक हित में किसी भी सामग्री का बेझिझक उपयोग करें।
