Dear Friends,
Jai Bhim & Johar,
It is with a very heavy heart we have bid farewell to one of the leading Dalit Rights Leaders who challenged the structures that held caste. Access to Justice became his single ambition in life, he was known in the courts for fighting for the rights of the Dalits and Adivasis. He took this as his personal passion to fight for the victims and survivors of violence. We have lost a stalwart and we owe him a lot. As he has passed on, we must take a moment to reflect on his journey and be inspired by his work! His bold strokes and excellent legal knowledge helped build and strengthen the Dalit movement in the state of Rajasthan which has one of the highest crimes against Dalits and Adivasis and nationally.
NCDHR holds him in high esteem and thanks him for his work and contribution to building NCDHR and we have learnt a lot from his leadership. NCDHR along with CDR would like to host a Remembrance Day on the 4th of March ( Saturday) @ 10.30 am on Zoom. Please do find the zoom link and I hope that all of you will join us in remembering Mimrothji and his huge contribution to Dalit Rights!
