MLO doesn't sync with Google tasks. (Google tasks aren't sophisticated enough, in my experience, to make it worthwhile anyway.)
You can sync to other machines/copies of MLO with cloud sync or Wi-Fi sync.

Dwight’s comment:
Hi, Lisa. The question of sync with Google Tasks has come up several times lately and I’d like to work through whether that would be possible, desirable, and beneficial.
It’s true that Google Tasks are a very simplistic collection of to-do lists, with each task having only a description and a due date. But MLO syncs tasks with Outlook. While Outlook tasks do have some more facets (start date, percent complete, category, etc) they do not have a lot of what MLO uses like recurrence, dependencies, etc.
I would imagine that an MLO sync with Google Tasks would do the following:
For any new task created on either platform, create a matching task on the other platform.
When a task’s description, due date or completion status changes on either side, change the other side to match.
When a task is deleted or archived on either side, delete or archive it on the other.
Do not change, modify or lose any of MLO’s other data elements in the course of synching.
If the sync speed of my contact sync is any indicator, changes to Google Tasks will appear in MLO in seconds, and vice versa.
The benefits I would envision from this would be:
1. Calendar view: tasks would optionally appear in Google Calendar on their due date.
2. Create new tasks in MLO by typing “T new facecloth for dog” in the Chrome browser address bar, or by highlighting any text in the browser and right clicking on it
3. Future small Android devices like Glass and Watch will be able to display a current task list and record completion of the items on it, even if you do no try to shoehorn a copy of MLO onto the device
4. When you mark a task complete on Glass or Watch, in the time it takes for a round trip of the synch mechanism, new tasks will appear that became active because of complete-in-order, dependencied or recurrences.
MLO sync with Outlook should provide similar benefits for the many people who have or plan to buy Windows 8 wearable devices, and who are ready to pay for the new release of MLO for Windows 8. Only problem is that there are not all that many users of Windows 8 mobile devices, no plans I’ve heard of for Windows 8 wearables, and no announcements to date comcerning any MLO release for Windows 8. For readers just learning English, I should explain that this paragraph uses sarcasm to illustrate why Outlook, the only Personal Information Manager to sync with MLO, is would be my third choice. I would make Android the first choice (more users) and Apple the second. I’m sure that many people would put Apple first (users are more willing to try software that isn’t free) and Android second.
I would be interested to hear from people who are looking for MLO sync with Google Tasks. Please tell us whether the scenarios described above cover how you would like the sync to work, or what else you would like to do with it. Thanks,
-Dwight
Any idea if Google has unique task identifiers?
I'm skeptical about sync with any system that has no concept of recurring tasks. I'm also skeptical about syncing with Google since I went through hours of different calender sync between outlook<--> Google , struggling with about three tools before finding one that worked.(gsyncit, which does sync tasks but it seemed too complicated to try to sync tasks MLO-> outlook-> Google-> outlook-> MLO :-) so I never finished the exercise ).

Hi, M.U.
Thanks for this good suggestion. Two followup questions:
1. Have you tried marking a task completed in Google Tasks and then propagating this status back through gtasks to mlo?
2. Can you accomplish what you are doing with the free version of gtasks or is the premium version needed?
