I don't know how or why your angry,obscene messages like "I didn't
Bleeping apply!" and "I hate My Dark Secret etc." are reaching my
personal mail because I don't run this website. I'm just a member/
player. You should address complaints about receiving messages to MDS
administration or their site on Google groups.Maybe there's a glitch
somewhere in the system causing this . God knows I don't wish
complaints on you MDS or Google but I don't know how his hate mail
directed at you is reaching me. I don't know anyone with this e-mail
and he's addressing you,not me personally. I'm sorry to bother you but
I didn't know what else to do. Hopefully he might see or receive this
post. Thanks for any help you can be. Maybe it's an internet fluke.

They probably arrive because you have just made a post on the forums
(as I have), that gets sent to the 307 members of the Group (as mine
did), and then goes to those who may have subscribed inadvertently (or
not at all if there is a problem!). They then get annoyed by what is,
effectively spam email and reply the the email - which then goes
direct to you (me in the case of my post) and not to the MDS
Administrator!

I replied to mine with:

It may be that you have, perhaps inadvertently, signed up to receive
them at some time. My Dark Secret is a Google group supporting the
website www.mydarksecret.com. I have copied this email to the owner
of the group so that he can make sure your email address is removed
from the list (or, indeed, to find out why you are getting emails if
you haven't subscribed). He is based in Nova Scotia so there may be a
delay before he responds to you.

In the meantime, you can unsubscribe your email address by email: just
send an email to MyDarkSecret...@googlegroups.com

Hope that helps and stops any more unwanted emails getting to you.

of course, at the bottom of every email from the group there is a
statement on how to unsubscribe from the group by email - but let's
face it, does anyone ever read all of an unwanted email?!?
