Hi Sue,
I think I heard yesterday of someone planning to go skiing at
Meadows today (Monday), but asking about it the same day is a bit
too late. Next time, try asking a day or two in advance. Much
better chance of getting a response.
We do have at least two groups of people regularly skiing at
Meadows: the Lodge group and the Flagpole group. Read more a bout
iit on our TRIPS page on our website, www.mthigh.org. Hey,
a "day trip" is also a trip. Look for the "Mid-week
skiing" info. It 's near the top of the page that lists all our
trips. Or go directly to that section by following this link: www.mthigh.org/Trips.htm#Mid-week_day-trips
This info is mostly about starting to ski as soon as the lifts
open. But sometimes people do go up to Meadows later in the day.
Also, on the slopes, look for people who have an orange little
flag attached to their ski pole. Not all our members have
one yet, buyt they are free for all our club members.
Another factor is that some of our members are just now
returning from Bend, where they participated in the Bachelor
Blast trip. Even if they returned yesterday (Sunday), they
might be too tired to go skiing again today.
