Hi all,
The meeting regarding the website was great,thanks to those who attended.
So
basically,we discussed on roles and responsibilities of each group we
mentioned previously and the deliverables required after two weeks.
We provided an opportunity for everyone to choose the category they
wish to contribute in, after discussing what each means,what is
required,what tools we can use and how we shall be communicating.We also
had a look at some of the community sites.

Below is a brief description of the teams,members who attended and the category that each volunteered to participate in:
1. UI/UX DesignThis
team will be responsible for the User Interface & User Experience
Design.They will come up with wireframes/mock ups either sketched on
paper or using web prototyping tools.

Key Deliverables: Website wireframes/mock-ups
Timeline: One week (12th November 2012-17th November 2012)
2. Graphics DesignThis
team will be responsible for the visual representation of ideas and
messages.They will be incharge of logo design,we already have a logo so
all they need to do is make changes if any.They also need to get the
wireframmes from UI designers and decide on the look and feel of the
site,the colours and images to be used and typography.
Tools that can be used:
Adobe Photoshop,Fireworks,Flash etc
The following will be incharge of Graphics Design:1.Swaleh Mohamed

3.Musa Alfan
Key Deliverables:Web page design
Timeline: One week (17th November 2012-24th November)
3.Content Development
This team will be responsible for organizing and preparing the website
content,as we discussed we already have a brief write up so basically
all that needs to be done is adding and editing content.Also come up
with a tagline.
Tools that can be used:
Microsoft Word
Notepad,Notepad ++ Or any other that you may prefer.
The following will be incharge of Content Development:1.George K. Charo

3.Sikander Yakub
They will also need to communicate and collaborate with the UI & Graphic designers.
Key Deliverables: Prepared web content
Timeline: One week (17th November 2012-24th November)
4.Web DevelopmentThis team will be responsible for coding and building the functionality of the site.
Platforms/Languages they can use:
HTML5/CSS
Content Management System (WordPress)
JavaScript
They will also handle Search Engine Optimization of the site.
The following will be incharge of web Development:

2.McDonald K. Mangi
3.Musa Alfan

5.Alifiyah Ganijee
Key Deliverables: Fully functioning site
Timeline: Two weeks (24th November 2012-8th December 2012)
5.Project Managers.They will coordinate all activities of the various project team members,track schedules and progress against milestones.
The following will be incharge of project management:
1.Ahmed Maawy
2.Murad Swaleh
Key Deliverables: Ongoing progress reports,general communication.
Within
these two weeks,the various teams will be communicating via google
hangouts,skype,calls,mails or meet up at their convenient times and
venue.
All the teams will then meet again on
24th November 2012. (Time and venue will be communicated to you)
We shall send the logo & web content on a separate mail to the respective teams.
If
you have any questions or suggestions or you simply need some
assistance or guidance,please feel free to post them on the mailing list
(even if you are not one of those mentioned as the project team
members)

Hoping that we shall all keep time and make this site totally outstanding and remarkable.
Some
suggestions were raised during the meeting that we should organize a
social meeting day,kind of a party,to get to know each other so we hope
to work on this too.
