Hello,
I want to build a component which would allow me draw the contents
received by a
webcam into html.
I've managed to create a xpcom component with a few method accessible in
javascript, but i have no clue how to develop an element which can be
rendered in to the html.
What is the best way to tackle this?

Can you please describe steps you followed to create xpcom
I cant make this https://wiki.mozilla.org/Education/Learning/XpcomComponents#Building_FirstXpcom work on firefox 29
my extension doesnt build i.e. it doenst create .h file from idl. it doenst copy extension folder in the obj directory.
