As you may be aware, Bridges-PRTD is fielding another study/volunteer program next year. This is a joint program with SUNY Cortland's Sport Management Department and will involve Tribhuwan University faculty as well as Mountain Legacy. Based on a conversation last Thursday with Kathryn March, director of the Cornell Nepal program, I am optimistic that we will also be building on their sustainable tourism project in the Trisuli region and I am hoping to develop other avenues of collaboration.

If you haven't done so for a few weeks, please visit our new www.BridgesNepal.com Web site to see what we are up to. Your advice and participation are essential if we are to develop critical mass in these projects, so do consider how we can serve your own agenda even if you are not participating directly in the Bridges program.

Meanwhile, I have added fifteen new listmembers to this Google Group. These are people who are collaborating in or have expressed interest in the Bridges program. I hope they will introduce themselves, and you older members as well, so that we can begin discussing more concretely the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Hi Seth,

Nice to hear from you about your project.

There are big and small scale hydropower projects in Tamakoshi River valley going on development soon. While planning tourism in Rolwaling valley, you should also consider these hydropower activities in Tamakoshi Valley.

All the best,

Cheers,
Milan
