As we approach Mother's day, we find ourselves grieving more than
celebrating quite often. What helps is to remember our Moms would want
us to be happy. Don't let the day drag you down; take this day as an
opportunity to cherish the happy memories. Cook that dish that she
cooked so well that she taught you to make. Go visit that favorite
friend of hers and take her out to lunch. And perhaps if your father
is still alive and grieving the loss of his wife, take Dad out to
dinner. But if you're like me and none of these options are possible,
take yourself out to dinner and know your beloved Mother is never far
from you. If anyone comes across this post and needs a shoulder to
lean on, I'm never more than email away.
