About the job:
The Sales and Marketing Manager analyzes market opportunities, manages
sales leads and is responsible for managing and coaching the sales
team. As manager and coach of the sales team, the Sales and Marketing
Manager acts as their primary reference regarding customer service and
satisfaction, prospecting, product knowledge, sales presentations,
closing skills, prices, terms and paperwork.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
1.Analyzes the market and current business performance. Develops
strategies to pursue target markets and accounts, consistent with
corporate mission and objectives.
2.Selects strategic accounts for sales focus and sets aggressive
individual and team goals. Maintains proper sales staffing levels and
sets individual sales target and key account assignments.
3.Ensures focus on developing new business at target accounts across
all lines of business. Consistently seeks to expand the scope of
business with key accounts. Qualifies, assesses and reviews potential
customers and opportunities. Ensures the development and maintenance
of account plans with key accounts.
4.Participates as the management team representative on strategically
important key accounts. Establishes and maintains personal long-term
customer relationships to influence opportunities.
5.Develops and trains sales team on sales processes, tools, and
standards. Provides consistent level of sales coaching, including 'one-
on-ones', customer sales calls, and critical opportunity reviews.
6.Establishes clear performance expectations for the sales team. Uses
standards to assess the behavior, activities and performance of each
salesperson. Provides consistent feedback to motivate sales people
toward improved performance.
7.Builds and fosters a team environment within and across areas.
Solicits support from and communicates effectively with internal
staff.
8.Ensures customer satisfaction and contract compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Marketing.
2.Five to eight years of progressive experience and proven sales
ability, best would be in our industry.
3.Three years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with
responsibility for the productivity or development of others.
4.Bilingual (English/French) preferred.
Compensation:
Competitive salary and incentive plan with total compensation in the
$100k+ range.
