30 model A

I have a 30 now for about 30 years. Thru the years I have run the car and then taken it off the road. Recently I started the car by jumping it off my 12 volt car that I own. The car ran fine after I started it and then it ran on an old 6 volt battery. I went and brought a new battery, started the car up , it ran for 10 seconds and cut off. I have gas but no spark. I have tried all the things I normally try , but no luck. This has me baffled. She was ready to go for a ride this summer but I'm stumped. Any thoughts or even a phone call would e appreciated.
