Dear Group,
I am in the process of resigning from all my group participations. I
just have reached a point where I want the freedom of not being
committed to a certain something from a certain book for a certain
time...want to branch out a bit more and I will continue to cook from Nick's books, and probably post some, but I have decided to just forego
the group participations for the time being. It's been four years, so
maybe just need a break...or maybe just have fewer people here to eat it
all...or maybe just a need to simplify my life a bit.
Thanks for letting me bake and blog along for all this time...I learned a lot and enjoyed it immensely!
I'll be checking in on what you are all making and posting...love, love, love Nick's recipes.
xo,
Kayte

This is unacceptable. Your resignation will not be recognized.

I'm so far behind that I am just paralyzed with where to catch up on anything. Things here with our son Alex are just going from bad to worse and my waking hours are spent working and trying to handle all that...I just need a break somewhere...trying to simplify things that can be simplified. I just don't want to keep letting everyone down because of my non-posting for this group. Maybe I can join in again with some cakes or something later on.
Thanks...you made me smile and feel wanted, badly needed today.
xo,
Kayte

We'll keep baking and keep you in our thoughts!! Feel free to drop in (or not) as you feel like it!! No pressure to do any more than suits you at that moment. I'm just going to think of you as "on sabbatical" so I don't have to say "goodbye".
Big hugs!
Renee

Aww...thanks, Renee...I will be around, just want to remove as many pressures and deadlines as possible as dealing with a manic depressive is challenging for me and I was not enjoying the blogging along thinking I HAD to get things done...just need to remove that "have to" part of my feeling about it all so that it is not niggling inside of me constantly. Thanks for understanding. Alex is 19 and that means he is an adult and pretty much feels like he doesn't have to listen to or do anything we might suggest...which leads to a lot of heartache as his decision-making abilities are affected by his bi-polarism. His birth mother's brother is very much like this all around so he has been trying to help in his way by being someone Alex can go to when he feels the world is against him...sometimes this is good, and sometimes it is not. Keep the good thoughts going for him. Thanks.
Loving your blog, as always...your St. Patrick's Day post was just so cute and fun!!! The girls are growing up so quickly...becoming little ladies right before our eyes.
