Just a quick note to thank you for doing such a great job running the carnival.  It has been a real boost to my blogging and you ran everything so smoothely and efficiently.

You may have noticed that as of this week the Carnival of the
Mobilists has someone new keeping the tents, Peggy Ann Salz. I have
had to withdraw to deal with a health problem. I plan to continue to
contribute posts.

Leaving my duties gives me a chance TO BE BLUNT ABOUT YOUR
PARTICIPATION. Here goes:

The Carnival has big benefits for mobilism in general and you as a
mobile blogger in particular. Everything about the Carnival is
volunteer, with everyone who takes part benefiting. Some of you have
been lax in recent months in doing your part. Here are 3 simple
obligations that I see for you if you participate in the Carnival of
the Mobilists:

ONE: Contribute a post at least once a month.
TWO: If your post is included in a Carnival, post that Carnival on
your blog. (Doing so multiplies the viral effect and sends traffic to
everyone. Not doing so weakens the carnival effect.)
THREE: Volunteer to host at least once a year. Twice is better.
