This Thursday at 10:00 a.m. on the Polk Street stairs at City Hall, Supervisor Campos is holding a press conference to announce legislation that will require the safe storage of firearms in vehicles parked within the City and County of San Francisco. We will be making amendments at committee to the ordinance we introduced as part of the “security not scapegoating” package so that anyone storing a gun in a vehicle in San Francisco, must secure the firearm in a locked trunk (with automatic truck release levers disabled) or lock box secured to the vehicle (if the trunk is not fully enclosed).
David would be honored if you could attend to support this important violence prevention legislation. Please let me know if you can make it. Thank so much!
