USM, C24 and OMNE have been fighting gentrification of the Mission. MLVS renting to upscale restaurants and tech bros should not be their financial solution.

Gabriel, appreciate you following up!
I know that Joaquin Torres from the Mayor's Office has been supper supportive and helping out on the City side.
Mission Peace Collaborative reached out to Saul Griffth who is suing MLVS?I believe he did not respond.
I know he was forcing MLVS to go to trail in April!
Lopping in Eva Royal & Josue Arce who are on the Board of Directors of MLVS & Natalie Hopner who is serving as Interim Director.
Many of us have made a major effort and commitment to ensure the MLVS has the community support to make sure they do not lose the property at all.
WE all need to continue being supportive of MLVS to save the property and support them at this time!
En la lucha!Roberto

I spoke with Natalie Hopner - interim ED today and she thanked everyone for their assistance - she asked that we let them finish their negotiations - they are working on something that will be positive for the school. What they are looking for is a new tenant for a space on the ground floor - so if anyone knows an organization that is interested reach out to her! If things don't work out on these negotiations it is good to know that the community is standing ready to help!

Sent from my iPhoneRoberto,
I had not heard this! Thanks for sounding the alarm. MLVS is an important part of the Mission's history that must be preserved.
Would MLVS be willing to setup a meeting with the community, United to Save the Mission or Our Mission No Eviction, to explain the parameters so we can plan how to dedicate our collective capacity to fight back? That way, they don't have to have 50 conversations and we can help ask the right questions.
