While listening to a podcast I learned about Suicide Linux
(https://qntm.org/suicide).


"You know how sometimes if you mistype a filename in Bash, it corrects
your spelling and runs the command anyway? Such as when changing
directory, or opening a file.

I have an idea: Suicide Linux. Any time - any time - you type any
remotely incorrect command, the interpreter creatively resolves it into
rm -rf / and wipes your hard drive.

It's a game. Like walking a tightrope. You have to see how long you can
continue to use the operating system before losing all your data."

The pod caster hosted a meetup where the challenge was to build a
website on Suicide Linux. The stories from that event shows just how
much fun they had.

This reminds me of a college challenge that we had. A professor would reserve some labs for one hour and we would race to type in as many correct commands as possible (duplicates would be counted as incorrect and the same consequence would happen) inside a harder version of suicide Linux. It was brutal, but fun.
