Friends,
I made a Habanero beer -- 2 large bottles -- by putting a thick slice of
Habanero pepper into each bottle of Imperial India pale ale at
bottling. About 1/8 of a pepper per 20 oz. [in a Grape and Granary
extract kit].
Zowie! I think the big hoppy taste of the IIPA handles the heat well --
and it *is* hot. You get a buzz *and* a heat high.
This experiment worked as far as I'm concerned. Friends can expect the
opportunity to try a similar effort in the future.

Nice!!!
Knew you'd go there eventually. California Common ("Steam" beer) also
seems to handle the heat rather well.
