I hope everyone had a nice 4th of July. I just returned from Toronto,
Ontario where I raced at the ITU Brampton Continental Cup which was
also the Canadian National Championship. Despite this being my
first race since my injury last month, I managed to pull off a top 10
finish and I earned a spot on the US Under-23 Worlds team to compete
at the World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland in late August.
It was a great return to racing and my run split (a personal best!)
was especially encouraging.
You can read the race report on my website at
http://www.michellelindsay.com/racereports/reports/brampton_06.html
and the results are posted at
http://www.chiptimeresults.com/results/2006/bramptsunEF.htm. I will
post a few pictures soon.
I am back in Texas for 3 weeks of training before I head off to Corner
Brook, Newfoundland in Canada for the World Cup. After that I go
overseas to Europe for some racing. I hope to add a travel log to my
website so you can get all the stories from abroad.
Thank you everyone for your encouragement and support! I couldn't do
it without you!
Keep in touch!
