World University Championships - top 10!

Hi everyone!

 

I am sitting at our youth hostel writing this email... the keyboard is French so its very confusing and hard to type!  Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that I raced the World University Games in Lausanne, Switzerland yesterday.  

 

I didn't swim very well, but I rode and ran well enough to place 10th.  We started the race with the sun shining but it started pouring on the bike ride and got very cold and windy.  The bike course had some steep descents with dangerous corners and there were a lot of crashes but I managed to stay upright this week.  I think the race website is http://www.trilausanne.ch

 

I am spending the rest of the week in Lausanne getting ready for Under 23 World Championships here next weekend and the Hamburg World Cup the weekend after that.

 

Lausanne is a beautiful city on the shores of Lake Geneva.  We have some amazing views of the Alps across the lake and I will try to get online and upload some photos to my website travel log.  I haven't had very good internet access for a few weeks so it's been tough to update my website and I apologize for that.
