Sorry for the URGENT again, but my aging father that had a recent lung
infection is still having O2 crises.
(and the Contec CMS50F fails to perform...)
At stake: Medicare only allows O2 for 30 days, then
will pull it unless I can document its continued need.
To that end.. The O2 supplier is sending their own
SMALL TIME WINDOW datalogger this weekend to check up
on him, but *I* must CHOOSE a 4-hour window to sample!
(And, there's no way for ME to see if it caught a dip or not.)
Problem: His saturation crises are NOT constant, nor predictable.
But Medicare will pull his O2 system if I can't document it NOW.
Should that happen, my dad is toast when the next crisis occurs.
Therefore: I have an URGENT NEED for MY OWN O2 Saturation
datalogger by this weekend, that can log and plot a FULL
24hr cycle. This way, I have a VERY good chance of
documenting his O2 problems to the O2 supplier.
I don't mind buying and rush ordering one, *IF* I can
find one that will do the job!
I *THOUGHT* I had found one, but user comments say NO:
.. Contec CMS50F Wrist-worn Pulse Oximeter (w/ sfwr & cable):
..
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LN4LCMC
It CLAIMS to do what I need, but two issues from user feedback:
1) The CMS50F batts only last for 2-4 hrs, NOT 24 as stated.
2) The sensor squeezes WAY too hard, and even the manual says
it may only be used for 2 hours at a time without causing
other medical problems. Again not nearly enough time.
(There exist Velcro wrap IR sensors, vs "clothespin clips",
but I've yet to find a datalogger with one that I can buy.)
Can anyone suggest another manufacturer of a FULL 24hr
O2 saturation data logger, that I can obtain QUICKLY?
No time to hack a system from scratch (let alone proving
its accuracy to the O2 supplier and Medicare...)
Thanks!
