Evolving Enlightenment via "Real" Community

The World is Alive with Change!

"MAGIC FOR ENLIGHTENMENT:  Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckart Tolle, Dalai Lama"

PS   And there's Happiness, Joy, and yes... even Ecstasy.

Hi Everyone !

The world is alive with change.  Where is your part of it; your part of Love & Joy to be within your own life?  Here are some thoughts from the past and the present, all pointing to a Love & Truth based joyful future!  Some would call this magic, but that would have been said of cell phones a hundred years ago.  We are actually creating the future now in the form which will uplift humanity and our own lives and loved ones.

"The next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha may take the form of a community—a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living"
         Thich Nhat Hanh    Buddhist Monk

Elisabet Shatouris, an evolutionary Biologist reports:

A few  years ago I was with a group interacting with the Dalai Lama personally and some one said, "What's the most important meditation we can do now?"  And without batting an eye he replied "Critical thinking followed by action." He said "Discern what your world is. Know what the scenario is of this human drama and figure out where your talents might fit in to make a better world."

Many spiritual practices emphasize waking up to our natural state as presence / Christ / Buddha—inner peace, unity with God. Sometimes this is summed up as “truth.” Many personal growth practices emphasize good living in the world of form—psychological health, service, justice, success and thriving. Sometimes this is summed up as “love.”  I—and the relateful practice—hold that both are inseparably and inter-penetratingly one. We don’t always get it right, but we attempt to embrace both as a unity. Overemphasizing either one can lead to distortions.

The edge keeps changing

The edge changes in response to what is going on in the world. We take responsibility for staying aware and knowledgeable about events and conditions both locally and globally.

We have learned that to identify and balance on the edge we need clear seeing, sanity, bravery, and community.

We want to occupy the ever-shifting edge so that we can intelligently discern answers to these questions:

  • What is the work that is needed both for us and the world at this time?
  • Are we the right ones to serve this need?   If not, then who?
  • Do we have the conditions and capacities to contribute to this need?
We become the Unitive Age via realizing and honoring the intertwining of both presence, and then acting from that presence.   Stillness and action become more and more intertwined…. in a dynamic, fully alive Unitive Field. .
The Evolutionary Flow Path involves both Being and Becoming.

As with the Dalai Lama’s response to
“What is the most important meditation we can do?”     of “Critical Thinking followed by Action”;
Eckhart Tolle also calls for     Action via “Accept then act.”
        and then
Thich Nhat Hanh shares:
"The next Buddha may not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha will take the form of a community."

If your Soul calls out within you for a higher level of living where “Joy, Love, and Truth” predominate; then I welcome you to the Mariposa Group Community.

 A Radiance of Love,  Eric

A PS note on
Ecstasy and Mosquitos:

Imagine a 4 or 5 year old child with good parents.  Not perfect parents, but ones who truly love him/her and do their very best to protect and provide a healthy, protected and growthful environment.  Now see the child playing outside in a fenced off yard (both protected from outside threats and safely contained from wandering off) in view of their watchful mother inside at a window.  The child is free to be themselves.  What are the likely things a 4 or 5 year old child might do in this environment?  Perhaps... make a mud pie?  Pull the petals off of a rose and maybe even try tasting the petal?  Dig up an earthworm and play with it?  Try rearranging small rocks in some sort of a pile?  You get the idea.
And if in the process of exploring the rose, the child hits a thorn and cries out in pain; the mother immediately comes out, soothes/loves them and explains that they have to be careful with roses because sometimes roses have thorns.  Likely result:  In 60 seconds the crying has stopped and s/he is ready to continue their happy exploring of this (to them at 4 or 5) new world.
Overall, what has been going on naturally in this loved child's world?  They have been exploring this or that; they have been discovering a variety of new things, and they have been creating (and learning about) new things such as mud pies and piling rocks.   And they are naturally Happy!

        Here's the '
Secret':  They have been Exploring, Discovering and Creating... quite naturally.  And they are also quite naturally HAPPY.   Here's the opportunity for us, now as adults to take this learning about a natural component of human nature into our adult world and bring about Happiness.. and yes, even beyond Happiness... into our existence.

The key for us as adults is to both co-create and live in a loving, safe and nurturing environment (i.e. community) which, like the mother with her young child,  both protects us and encourages us to explore our true innate nature.  There is now additional knowledge that beyond the child's state of development, we as adults do so much better (in so many ways) when we add in helping others to also explore their true nature.  They are happier and we have learned that we really much prefer being around happy people.
An understanding:  Fully alive is achieved by being fully engaged in a process which is as simple as your ABC's, but
starts with E and works its way back to A.  Life is all about:

Exploring, Discovering, Creating, Benefiting, All

And I dare to share with you the 'secret' that if you want HAPPINESS, all you have to done is to be fully engaged in any one of these five aspects. If you are fully engaged in any two of these five at the same time, you will experience JOY.  And if you are fully engaged in any three of these five at the same time,  you will be filled with ECSTASY!

ECSTASY --- from the Greek "Ex Statis".  Release from rigid or confining conditions.

A natural part of what being human can be.  Come join us!
