Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the overall supervision of Protection Officer, performs the following duties:

1.      Translate documents, articles, written reports, correspondence from the language under the responsibilities of the interpreter into English and vice versa;

2.      Provide translation and interpretation support to the national and international staff during official meetings, trainings and interviews with the refugees as well as during camp visits;

3.      Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.         

Qualification:

Education:                

Completion of secondary education, any further advance education will be considered as an asset.

Qualification:            

Computer and Communication skills;

Very good knowledge of the English, Karenni and Burmese language (fluency in speak, read and write a must).  Other languages such as Thai will be an advantage.

Experience:              

or Myanmar national (holding valid Passport) with at least one year of interpretation/translation experience (working experience with international organization preferable).
