Events for Spring 2008?

Hi,

Wondering what events, conferences, or talks are planned for Spring 2008?

I'm a grad student at Cal State Fullerton and seriously considering a SWAA
presentation on The dominant culture vs. "the other," in April.

I plan to take the opportunity to present counter-conquest examples, i.e.,
the ship wrecked sailor Gonzalo Guerrero, who in 1511 chose to remain with
the Maya (and his wife and children) and went on to become a Mayan War
Chief. Know of any similar absorption by the "other" incidents?
