Please join me next week for a special conversation about the meaning of openness in a networked world.

 

On Tuesday, June 3rd, from 9am-11am PT (12pm-1pm ET), I will host an interactive conference call and chat on "Open Flow" -- the technologies and business practices that allow information to move freely between users, websites, and organizations. This is a precursor to a track at Supernova 2008, sponsored by BT, on June 17 in San Francisco.

Topics we will address on the call will include: What are the key issues around interconnecting social networks, identity systems, and online applications? Is openness always a good thing? How do open networks change business models, as well as processes within companies? What new opportunities emerge in an Open Flow environment?

 

Participation is free and open to anyone interested. The conversation will develop themes to be explored further during the Open Flow track at Supernova 2008, featuring executives from Google, Facebook, Plaxo, Six Apart, and BT, as well as leading industry observers such as Joi Ito, Chris Sacca, Umair Haque, and Tantek Celik.
