Merit Badge Madness - Eagle Camp 2007
As we near our 100th anniversary of scouting, what better way to invest
in the future of scouting than investing in your sons? Registration for
Eagle Camp 2007 is open to all scouts that are:
First Class scout
Have attended two or more summer camps
Age 13 or above
Recommendation of scoutmaster
Please pass this message on to scouts in your troops. Applications
for Eagle Camp are on a first come first served basis. Remember the
rates change on 1 February. See website below for forms.
Common questions:
What Merit Badges are you offering? The list of available Merit Badges
is never finalized until the last minute. We look at what Merit Badges
the scouts have, which Merit Badges the scouts request, and which Merit
Badges we have resources (instructors and equipment) to teach properly.
I have had many scouts ask if they can go to Eagle Camp a second time.
The answer is yes, we will have Merit Badges that we have not offered
in the last two years of Eagle Camp.
I have all of my core merit badges. Should I attend Eagle Camp? The
question about whether you should attend Eagle Camp is a personal
choice. We have at least one elective merit badge scheduled for each
session that we have core Merit Badges. We try to find which Merit
Badges are available to the most scouts. Last year, we had an Eagle
staff member (with over 60 Merit Badges) attend. He was able to add
three new Merit Badges to his sash.
