MercurialEclipse release announcement

Greetings,

MercurialEclipse 2.17.0 was released today, May 15, 2024. 

This release is an out-of-schedule release focused mainly on issue 630, which prevented Synchronization from working in Eclipse 2021-12 and later versions.

Notes:

• Java 11 is required.
  
• Support for Mylyn is dropped.
• Versions of Eclipse older than Eclipse 2021-12 are not supported.
  
• Supported Mercurial versions are 3.7 to 6.3.1 because Mercurial installation packages for Windows are no longer provided for versions after 6.3.1. Therefore, I can't certify that later versions of Mercurial are compatible.
