Join us this Thursday, March 1st in downtown Mebane for Destination Downtown Mebane's "First Thursdays".  Participating shops and services will be open until 8pm for your shopping convenience, and many will offer light refreshments and one-day-only specials.  In addition, this month many of the shopkeepers are giving a portion of their sales to their favorite charities (see details below.)

March 1st "First Thursday" offers include:

Melville Trading Company
Ron Oakley will be at Melville from 6:30-8 pm to do a book signing of his new book about Mebane.  We're also offering $10 off our introductory "hands on" Annie Sloan Chalk paint classes if you sign up and pay for your class at First Thursday.  Your $10 savings will be donated by Melville Trading Company to Paws4Ever, an animal protective agency in Mebane.

Bella Bleue Savvy Spa and Salon
Enjoy refreshments and treat yourself to one (or more) of their First Thursday specials:  Complimentary haircut with a color service, complimentary bright eyes treatment with any facial, and/or complimentary french polish with a classic pedicure.  On Thursday evening, 10% of sales that evening will go to St. Baldricks Childhood Cancer Research.

Hollyhocks
Customers will enjoy special treats during the evening.  Also, 5% of sales that evening will go to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.

Quirks

Quirks will have light refreshments available and will donate 10% of all Thursday sales to Mebane's very own big cat rescue:  The Conservator's Center.  Visit their website  www.conservatorscenter.org.

Solgarden
At Solgarden from 5 until 8 p.m., Musaic Mosaics will be on hand with a special reception and exhibit of new art pieces from Justin and Nikki, complete with live music by Justin Johnson.  Nikki Jaeger and Justin Johnson enjoy a life together, designed completely of music and art.  Justin is a multi-award-winning instrumental guitarist and composer, offering frequent regional performances.  Together, they are also passionate about combining music with visual art, working primarily in glass mosaics and kiln-formed glass.  In homage to their passion for combining art and music, they named their mosaic company "Musaic Mosaics."  As Musaic Mosaics, they offer custom mosaic artwork in every scale from small 2-dimensional wall art to mosaic furniture, and even full-scale permanent architectural installations!  Justin is composing music especially for the show, to correspond with the feel and intent of the collaborative artwork, so come on out to hear what Musaic Mosaics SOUNDS like. Understand what is meant when Justin and Nikki say that incorporating music enhances the experience and understanding of their visual art.  We are very excited about this show! And as always, you can count on super-cool door prizes from Musaic Mosaics!  And if you'd like more information about what's in store, visit musaicmosaics.com or justinjohnsonlive.com.

Xtreme Dance Academy

Xtreme Dance will be having a "Register for Summer Dance/Tumble Event!"   Register on Thursday March 1st from 2:00-8:00 pm and receive a 20% Discount on any 1 store item!

We hope you'll all be able to come out an join us on March 1st for Destination Downtown Mebane's "First Thursdays".
