"AN EVENING UNDER THE STARS" HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Fighting cancer for the second time is not easy. It is also
unpredictable.
Many of you know that Meghan attended last year's event with severe
back pain. The next month it was discovered, during an operation at Northwestern
University in Chicago, that Meghan had another mountain to climb, this one
bigger than the first..a cancerous tumor was discovered along her spine. After
several days in the oncology unit at Northwestern, Meghan returned to Louisville
where she has undergone extensive chemotherapy, radiation, and continues to
receive monthly injections of chemo into her spinal fluids. We don't count the
number of emergency room visits Meghan has also made. This Wednesday Meghan is
scheduled to undergo a procedure with U of L doctors to attempt to relieve the
pain and discomfort in her back and leg.
While Meghan has had good days that allowed her to go out, the last several
weeks have found her spending the majority of time at home and in bed. We know
the strength of Meghan, so when she asks us to postpone this event so that she
can attempt to alleviate the pain and get better, we comply. She deserves that
much for all she has done in the past.
We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you by postponing
this wonderful event.
With God's blessings and your prayers, we will return in the future so that
Meghan can continue to light mountains for her "brothers and sisters" in the
fight for life against cancer.
For those that have made reservations and to our wonderful sponsors, we
will be mailing back your funds in the next few days.
Thank you for your understanding, and most importantly, your love, support
and continued prayers.
We will see you in the future..with bright lights on a beautiful mountain
called Meghan's Mountain.
BELIEVE,
Jerry Steinberg
