Yes,
We are trying to figure out how to handle the printing of the ABN is Medicare is secondary.
The financial class dictionary determines the type of patient and we have MCR for Medicare but the patient has Commercial Insurance Primary and Medicare Secondary then how do you print an ABN in the system?
In testing all of the above, we are not prompted for the ABN unless Medicare is primary.

Good Morning Brenda,
Yes, in fact we were able to successfully implement this week for one of the sites that we support in the INW.
Any specific questions?
Gina

Thanks,
You are correct we are only triggered if it is Primary 1.
I will ask a few questions to Billing staff. This may open a can of worms.

Thanks,
We are having to switch to Meditech’s MNO because Iatric has no intention of supporting MNO in 6.15 as of right now (and we are upgrading in August of this year). I never saw a response to this, but have been curious if anyone has found a way to trigger Meditech MNO for Medicare as secondary.
Thank you,

Hi folks, not automatic, but Meditech has a routine on the MIS Billing Requirements menu named Check ICD Codes For Procedures that can be used. It is a manual process on secondary insurances in CS 5.x platforms, but it does work as a work-around.
