We have been LIVE with NUR since DEC 08, EMAR March of 09, and TAR Aug of 10. Recently (last 2 weeks), we have had a significant number of locks in the NUR module...2 weekends ago they were all on EMAR or Nursing Interventions; this week they are (one a day) on the STATUS BOARD (i.e. NEXT MED due doesn't update from EMAR and BBK blood product status doesn't update in TAR). Has anyone out there had issues with locks, and the cause of them? MEDITECH (depending on who you call) is generally able to clear them...but I honestly think some of them just clear with time anyways? And since they are happening more frequently, it is becoming frustrating to the endusers to say the least. The system has been generally very stable prior to this.
Any help or insight into this would be appreciated. All locks that have occurred over the last 2 weeks are hardwired computers (not wireless where we used to see this more frequently - and understand why); the locks have occurred across departments and users: most have occurred on terminal servers (that is where most of the documentation takes place), but a few have happened on fat clients as well.
Thanks for any thoughts!
Chris
