Hi All,

I was asked to today if/how can we charge for glucose finger stick testing.  We have a B/AR Procedure Dictionary (Charges) entry for the PHA drug entry (a charge for the strip itself is sent from PHA) and we have a B/AR entry for GLUCOSE,BLOOD TEST, MONITORING with a CPT-4 code of 82962 attached in the alternate codes field under the Claims tab.  We currently use a PHA order for the test strips to prompt the nurse to perform the test and document in the eMAR.  I assume that this will trigger the charge for the cost of the strip, but not for the procedure.  Does anyone have any advice on how to link these?  Will it involve a CDS attached in the B/AR procedure dictionary?  Thanks for any help that you can provide.
