Good Morning L
Is there a site using Forward Advantage for smart route faxing for
$T radiology? We are trying to convert since our faxing on demand does not
provide the needed information on the current history logs. I believe that
smart routing cannot implemented with $T radiology, but no one has been able
to confirm.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Elizabeth.

We have implemented Forward Advantage and use Smart Route with NPR Lab
and $T Rad. The tests ran well and we are now in the process of
updating the FA database. The implementation, however, is very new, so
I cannot speak to a long history of success. Yet.

A cautionary note: FA has excellent support, but they cannot do their
job unless you have someone at your end who can make changes to user
rights on the system and who has the time and can spend time working
with FA to tweak things.

Smart Route on $T Radiology is the EASIEST route to get up and running!
If you have questions, best to email a date/time that you would like to
discuss.

Thanks!

Hello Elizabeth,

If you can not get your current solution to work, please consider Interbit
Data, Inc. as a solution to your faxing issue.

NetFax runs on a Windows PC and is defined in MEDITECH as a printer. NetFax
seamlessly integrates into your existing MAGIC & $T RAD or C/S system
allowing you to direct faxes to users defined within MEDITECH. Expansion is
as simple as adding multiple modems. Logs are maintained on the server and
communicated directly to the MEDITECH audit trail. Errors can be printed
directly to a console printer for follow-up. NetFax can be upgraded to the
NetPrint Plus product.

NetPrint Plus allows you to securely distribute reports from your
organization's C/S, Magic or $T information system via fax, encrypted print
stream, encrypted file or email. NetPrint Plus is integrated with the
MEDITECH faxing functions, but allows you to define (by user/location)
whether to send the data as a fax, a file, an email, or a print out. Remote
locations can have virtual printers via the Internet, which on demand, on
schedule, or in real-time, retrieve data from your system. All connections
are validated and all data passing through the Internet is encrypted using
128-bit encryption algorithms.

For more information on NetFax & NetPrint Plus please visit our web site at
www.interbitdata.com. If you would like to see a demonstration of NetPrint
Plus, please call me and we can schedule an online demo for you.

Thank you all for the responses to FA on $T radiology. I will contact a few
of you with additional questions and hopefully to start a dialogue.

We have implemented Forward Advantage and use Smart Route with NPR Lab
and $T Rad and UR module. Smart Route is working very good for our facility.

We update Meditech Demand Fax Dictionary and FA database as soon as new physician is added to the Meditech Provider dictionary. If physician is going two different location, then we have created different mnemonic for the same physician.

Ramani,
Does your physician dictionary auto update from your MIS provider
dictionary?
We have several doctors who work at different locations, but we have added
an EMR to the clinics and we not have as many issues with faxing or
printing.
