Hi,
Does anyone have MIS Report Scheduler set up to print (or download) .pdf files instead of .txt files?
An alternative would be to convert them to .pdf after they are downloaded. But my testing so far has thrown off the formatting when changed to .pdf files.
Thanks,
Kevin Sexton

We use a cheap alternative, NovaPDF, took a bit of work, but retains the formatting and can still allow the pdf to download to a file location. We use it for downtime MARs and such.

Depending on your application, Interbit Data has NetSafe and NetDelivery that can both be used to accomplish that.
We weren’t able to get those traditional pdf converters to work in the download report stream, and retain the print settings, in our 6.07 operation. Perhaps those work OK in other Meditech versions, but the 6.x stuff has some conflicts on the file download side that negated some of the traditional pdf converters. That’s why NovaPDF came in very handy.

Have you tried CutePDF printer. Free download on the web. Easy to use. Choose it like you do a printer and then it comes up and asks the file you want to print it to.

Meditech has an extensive KB article on this if you wanted to review it. It is KB 39291.
