Hi all,

I have a few questions for anyone who is Magic and has converted from Pyxis MedStation to Pyxis ES.  Our site uses a combination of Pyxis Profiled and non-profiled machines along with the Anesthesia System.

Pyxis recommended a phased in approach over several weeks and said that Meditech could run the interfaces to both systems without any issues.  When I checked with Meditech NMI they said that we would need a separate set of interfaces (at a cost).

1.  Did you phase in the Pyxis machine implementation or go Live with the entire hospital on one day?
2.  Approximately how many machines do you have in the facility?
3.  If you phased in the implementation, did you require a separate set of interfaces from Meditech?
4.  Any other issues with the change over?

Thanks for all of your responses.  I have been able to determine that the process is to upgrade the Meditech HL7 Interface for the new Pyxis ES system and have the Pyxis interface engineer parse the information correctly on their end during the dual system switchover.
