====================================
Please do NOT send messages that ask "Please post to the list" or "I'd like to see your answers" or "Send that info to me, too" These are useless messages that just waste the email server's resources. Instead, email the original requester and ask that they send you or post the results of their question.

Summit Details
Boulder Community Hospital (BCH), a 265-bed facility in Colorado, converted
from Magic to 6.0 and went LIVE with 27 applications in October 2009. Two
system analysts from BCH, Anita Bellini and Diane Folsom, will discuss the
changes between the Magic and 6.0 Client Server environments specifically on
application functionality. Examples include: Bedboard, OM, EDM, and other
NPR and Focus apps.
Next, Daniel Spencer, ARRT, BSB (IS), will explain the difference in support
structure for a hospital that is moving from Magic to 6.0. This includes
both the large addition to application and infrastructure resources that
were needed. He will also discuss how BCH scaled its IT department to meet
the demands of a 6.0 environment.
Krista McClain, the project manager for the 4-year 6.0 implementation, will
share the importance of a project management structure with the move to 6.0
to meet timelines, budget constraints, and resource dilemmas. She will also
review the phases of the project from planning, design, build, testing, and
implementation and all the road blocks in between.
