[MT-L] Documenting items in ORM 6.0

Our inventory is interfaced with Materials Management. We have par levels set & items are decremented as they are entered by the staff. Does anyone have any ideas to help increase accurate documentation of items and how to monitor this effectively?

Hi,

We have not gone Live with this yet, but we will on 3/1/12. Our plan is to decrement as you are now doing, but all Preference cards pull from Sub inventories. The Sub inventory (OR CORE) re-stocks Department Inventories (OR Rooms).

If documentation does not account for all items used then inventories will be wrong. To fix this, we restock rooms after a day, then do a spot check of what is lacking. These total items are then ordered via Exchange Cart - to make up for the items not documented/decremented. This will not make people document items, but it will demonstrate exactly what quantity is NOT being decremented by documentation.
