Hi L-ers!
I’m curious as to how you manage purging your accounts. How long do you keep your accounts before they are eligible to be purged? Do you keep an archive of purged accounts “just in case”?
I’m thinking we could develop a download report that would have all the pertinent account information, and use that as an archive. Have any of you done something similar? Was it adequate when needing to access old records?

We purge to OD after both Medicare and Medicaid cost reports are completed for a fiscal year (usually 3-5 years ago depending on how the state is doing on keeping current). You can always pull accounts back from OD so no download or special process is needed.
