Just went live with PCS and GE Centricity in last month separately.
The decision was mad not to duplicate the reams of information in
Meditech EMR that is in the GE
1) Nothing in PCS for OB, all on GE.
2) All on GE, Meditech feeds ADT in, will get discharge and visit
summary document upload back in.
3) All in GE. Documented location in EMR.
4) GE system can document all the way through Mom and baby. Goes into
EMR as part of document upload.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Questions about Fetal Monitoring Systems and
Meditech Integration
Hi All,
I have some questions for those of you using a Maternal/Fetal
Monitoring
system and Meditech. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
1) Has any other Meditech CS site successfully built all phases of the
maternity documentation in PCS? How did you include spreadsheet and
flow
sheet capabilities?
2) How have other Meditech C/S hospitals with GE's QS fetal monitoring
system approached maternity documentation?
3) Have any sites integrated the fetal monitor strip into their EMR
(similar
to PACS images, etc.)? If so, how do you handle documentation done on
the
fetal monitoring strip?
4) Have any sites linked the Mom and Baby record documentation through a
shared query or other type of shared documentation?
Thanks again.
