Hi Thomas,

Are you using numeric formatting in your report? For most reports I
develop, I use "N0" or "N2" (0 or 2 decimal places) and don't seem to have
any problems rendering in PDF formats.

A possibility could be in the layout of the report. If part of one field
(or text box) is partially covered by another, I've found that it causes
some strange results - particular in headers and sub-headers.

Also, look at the actual report layout specifications. If your report width
isn't set to accommodate the actual size of the report, you'll encounter
parts of the report splitting off or collapsing portions when you render to
PDF (i.e. if the report layout is 12", make sure you have at least 12" in
the width of the report = preferably 12.5"). This is done in Visual Studio
under the "Reports" -> "Reports Properties" -> "Layout" tab.

Hope this helps!

Subject: Reporting Services - PDF rendering problem

We are trying to publish a group of financial reports using SQL Server
Reporting Services. We have hit a snag when we try to render the reports in
PDF format. The leading spaces of each line are stripped in the output
file. For example:

Department 10.7240 - ICU

Expenses SubDepartment
-------- -------------
1,200 100
454 150

Becomes:

Department 10.7240 - ICU

Expenses SubDepartment
-------- -------------
1,200 100
454 150

Does anyone know a solution for this problem?
