[MT-L] Email Validation Rule: ADM Email Address

I would like to know if anyone has built an email validation rule for the standard email address query in ADM.  Upon audit, we have seen many addresses that have invalid formats.

 

Microsoft publishes one like this:

 

Email address  Is Null OR ((Like "*?@?*.?*") AND (Not Like "*[ ,;]*"))

Requires at least one character, @, at least one character, dot, at least one character. Space, comma, and semicolon are not permitted.

 

If so, does anybody have experience running a query like this against existing emails entries that would identify current invalid email addresses.
