[MT-L] PHA: ADT A08 messages to OV

We are seeing patient medical record edits in Meditech ADM creating A08
messages for the spectrum of that patient's visits and the dispensing
machine is interpreting these as re-admits. Hence, the dispense machine
will have multiple account numbers added for one patient.
Did anyone else have this problem and how did the dispense machine
vendor and/or Meditech NMI set this up to correct? (or interface engine
vendor) Someone has to have seen this before. Thanks!

I have not contacted Meditech yet but it looks like I may have to. Of course they will tell me it's a Pyxis issue and I'll be playing tag between the two.

The Pyxis Autodischarge times are being reset
by updates, and some patient admits are overlapping.
Setup:
Pyxis does not receive discharge messages for outpatient areas.
A08 update message do not have discharge times
Outpatient auto-discharge times are set to 24 hours.
Pyxis receives an update to a patient after 24 hours which makes them
active again on the Console.
Solution:
Enable update (A08) discard criteria based on time and patient
type/class.
My thought would be to discard all updates (A08's) after 24 hours of
registration for all outpatients.
